Spiked Fortune

Studded hair band: Jennifer Behr

If you follow me on twitter then you've probably already heard all about my obsession with this studded hair band. I came across it in Liberties last week and immediately fell deeply in love with it. It makes me look like a punk rock fortune teller- what's not to love!? The price is what's not to love. £410 is waaaaay over my hair band/turban budget- even for one as beautifully made as this. I plan to do my own DIY version and hopefully that will satisfy my cravings.

I forgot to mention this in the '4.3.2.1' post but I bumped into Wiley at the after party. He's working on some stuff at the boy's brother's record label- Back Yard. 'Electric Boogaloo' is his latest track.... You can have a listen and see the video here.

p.s anyone know where in London I can get some studs for my DIY turban? I'd prefer not to buy them online so I can see what I'm getting :)

Aldo in Covent garden were selling some studs a while back. If not then there is a guy in Camden who personalises stuff with studs and spikes, I can try and find out the details for you! I love that scarf, such a statement peice. It would go perfectly with black Wayfarer Ray Bans hair slicked back and Jeffery Campbell clogs!

Jennifer Behr is amazing, but her stuff is so expensive. If you're lucky the high street might do a copy of it....

i know i should be looking at the headband but, DAMN, your phone is sick. I buy alot of studs off ebay - most with 100% positive feedback are actually really good quality..

Thanks lovely ones!

The nail polish is the blogger favorite 'mint candy apple' by Essie.

The iPhone was "blinged" by a lady in The Grove in LA. She does it all by hand and it takes about an hour.... You can do it yourself though if you have the patience. I'm getting a new phone soon and I plan to DIY it!

I'll do a post with the DIY turban (and phone) soon!

Hi,
John Lewis has a haberdasery department. I'm not definite that they sell studs but they do stock a lot so might be worth trying if you're ever near one!

They do have a very similar one from Topshop at a very reasonable £30.

Hiya - I run www.studsandpunks.co.uk website and am always here to help - drop me a line if you need any help - as previously said, I know you are not keen on buying on line - but my stock is not the cheap far eastern type that is flooding the market, I have an ebay store as well with over 3000 feedback - so cannot be doing much wrong! All the best Vince
