Beauty Update

My makeup routine was getting a little tired so I did an overhaul of all the products that were no longer working for me. I like to focus on my skin and these are the products I'm loving the most right now.

*Face & Body from MAC: This has very light coverage, it's almost like a tinted moisteriser. After years of using a particular shade I've recently gone one shade darker (C4) as living in LA has warmed up my skin slightly.

*Skin Illuminator from No. 7: I use this on my cheek bones for a dewy finish.

*Perfect Lumiere from Chanel: Gives medium coverage and a flawless, velvet finish. I use this with the 'Face & Body' for a heavier more polished evening look.

*Invisible Loose Setting Powder from Laura Mercier: Don't let the white shade of the powder put you off. This truly is invisible. I use it on my t zone to prevent shine.

*Vitalumiere Aqua Compact from Chanel: Creamy full coverage. I use this instead of concealer (which always looks chalky against my skin) and take it out with me for touch ups. It's really beautiful packaging.

*Sheer Concealer from Burberry: I wouldn't really class this as a concealer. It works in the same way as the YSL 'touche eclat' but has a much better tone and texture for my skin. It's a lovely light weight formula perfect for correcting under eye darkness.

*Mineralize Skin Finish from MAC: This works as a highlighter and is an alternative to the No.7 illuminator. I alternate between the two depending on the look I'm going for.

I get a lot of questions about which fragrance I use. I love the ones from Frederic Malle and my latest one 'Une Rose' was bought with my wedding day in mind. It's the ultimate rose scent. Rich and floral with just the right amount of sweetness. I also like to use 'Lipstick Rose' which has a more glamourous heady feel to it.
