Raspberry Beret

Raspberry beret: Mary Quant (vintage). Body suit: American Apparel. Chambray Pants: American Apparel. Mens Belt: Vintage. Shoes: Christian Louboutin.

My daddy found this beret. Its Mary Quant and it's in almost perfect condition. It's one of the few items that always travels with me. The pants remind me of wrestling pants! They're very comfy and I adore anything with deep pockets.

The sun is finally coming out in LA. It's still bloody cold though.... although I'm sure it's better then what I'd have to deal with if I was at home in London.

Something old

First two pictures- Dress: PPQ. Shoes: KG. Clutch: Vintage. Jewelry: CC Skye
Second two pictures- Dress: Oasis. Shoes: Office.
Fifth picture- Dress-PPQ (I think! Apologies if I'm wrong). Shoes: Office.
Final Picture- I have no idea where that dress is from!

As promised here is an old shoot me and the boy did. I'm hoping to find some more.... I think this was actually the first time we did a shoot together. These shots are probably like 2 years old. They were taken by my old apartment in Crystal Palace, London. I used to live there with Kevin Morosky. We had wanted to live together since we were 16 and I look back on our time there fondly. He doesn't but that's another story and not mine to tell.

I am so blonde in these pictures! I'm never doing that again. It's taken me forever to grow the damaged bits out and they're still not all gone. Damn you bleach!

This shoot was Thomas 'ticklemouse' Walker's idea and he did all the makeup. We're not really friends anymore but I'm a grown up lady and I like to give credit where credit is due ;)

Back To Black

Yeah that's right. Big guns.
Dress: American Apparel. Jacket: TopShop (studs by me). Bag: Balenciaga. Boots: TopShop.

I don't usually dress like this to go to Trader Joe's! On the way back from a meeting me and the boy did our weekly shopping AND a little impromptu photo shoot in the car park.

My balenciaga weekender is one of my favorite bags. It's a modern classic.... just like the silhouette of the American Apparel dress: Short with long sleeves. Works every time.

Some people say black is boring. Some people should shut up ;)

I forgot to mention before that the Garbelle jacket is the one that Cyrena made for me for my birthday. You should have heard me when I opened it, I SQUEALED.

I love doing photo shoots with the boy because it's so quick and easy. This whole shoot took an hour and thats including hair and makeup. I have some shoots that we did a couple of years ago stored on my hard drive so I'm gonna dig them out and post them for you.

I was completely inspired by the hair on Alexander Wang's runway. I think this is from the spring 2010 show.

I totally stole that look for the Cheated Hearts shoot. It's super easy to do. I just clipped in some hair extensions and braided! The great thing about this is that you don't even need to worry about really blending the extensions or where you clip them because you'll be braiding them anyway. Have a go :)

Cheated Hearts

Leotard: American Apparel. Jacket: Garbelle. Boots: Christopher Kane for TopShop. Clip in 'Remi' hair extensions kindly donated by Sleek.

The lovely Cyrena and Gemma run an online magazine: Cheated Hearts. It's great. You'll love it :) I did an interview with them that will be up soon and today me and the boy did some pictures to go with it. This is just a sneaky peek because the full shoot will premiere on Cheated Hearts later on this week. I'll let you know when it's up of course!

The Book of Eli

I fricking LOVED this movie. I'm not going to go into plot because that's not what this post is about but I will talk about style...

Solara (played by Mila Kunis) looks awesome. She is rocking a look that I like to call: 'Apocalyptic Courtney Love Olsen Twin'.

I came out of the cinema mentally scanning my wardrobe because I plan to try this look out over the next few days (but not to any of my auditions because I don't want to scare people).

I tried desperately to find a clear full length shot for y'all but alas. You'll just have to go and see the film for yourself.... and it's really good so you'll be glad you did.

The waist length hair, the smudgy black eyes, the men's plaid shirt, the dusty black jeans, the aviators and satchel.... I love it all. Add a pair of burberry boots and then it would be beyond perfect.

Ok so apart from Solara's costume I also actaully laughed out loud with joy when I saw Frances de la Tour and Michael Gambon in this scene...

When the scene ended I leaned over to my boy and whispered "Pinter"... "yuh huh" he replied.

Disco pants: American Apparel. Cropped T shirt: American Apparel. Fur coat: Vintage. Scarf: Vintage. Boots: Jeffery Campbell.

Those high waisted disco pants are a joy. They hold everything in. I'd just eaten a huge dinner at my Nan's house and those pants kept the food baby under control.
